This is a 2:1 honors degree. The duration of this program is 1 year for full-time and 2 years for part-time.
The aim of the program is to “build interdisciplinary expertise while exploring specific interests within the long and diverse history of esotericism, witchcraft, ceremonial magic, occult science, and related subjects.” the university said.
qualification
— Typically a 2:1 honors degree (or international equivalent) or higher in a social science or humanities discipline.
— The Institute will only accept applicants who meet these criteria, but if the interested applicant has a high grade of 2:2 or equivalent, is from a different academic background equivalent to degree level; or relevant work experience, your application will be considered.
— International students must demonstrate that they have the required level of English to study this course. Test scores required for this course (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, LanguageCert International ESOL SELT, Study Group Academic English, etc.).

Course content
The core module, ARAM251 Esoteric Buddhism and Magical Traditions, is a team-taught module in which students explore Greek and Roman magic, Jewish, Christian, and Islamic occult texts, the history of witchcraft, magic in literature, folklore, deception, and fantasy, the history of science and medicine, and other important themes.
“By locating this program within the Arab-Islamic Institute, we are able to place Arab-Islamic cultural heritage at the center of these studies and within the history of the ‘West.’ “Decolonization, the exploration of alternative epistemologies, feminism and anti-racism are at the core of this program,” the varsity team said.
