Melbourne’s house price benchmarks have been smashed amid a flurry of big spring sales, with Camberwell homes priced between $15 million and $16 million hitting record prices.
A landmark property owned by business magnate David Crawford could fetch $4 million more than the suburb’s most expensive current address.
The listing comes amid growing calls for benchmark-shattering big-ticket deals around Melbourne this spring, including Williamstown’s more than $8 million deal for Western Bulldogs great Chris Grant.

The property at 35 Prospect Hill Road, Camberwell, which is due to go on the market next week, has been owned by Mr Crawford and his wife Maureen, whose name is on the title, for more than 30 years.
