AUSTIN, Texas — Austin’s real estate market continues to grow, and Los Angeles’ top real estate agents want to get in on the action.
On Tuesday, Tracy Tutor, a luxury real estate agent and star of Bravo’s “Los Angeles Million Dollar Listing,” moderated a panel discussion about the future of home design in 2024. Panelists included Sarah Cukerbaum, principal designer at SLIC Design, and executive vice president at Pembroke & Ives Aron. Dussair, designer, real estate agent, developer and architect Joe Boyle, and Douglas Elliman Austin brokerage associate Matthew Dittrow.
The evening of cocktails and conservation featured representatives from Stewart & Company, Outward Architecture, and SLIC Design at Elliman’s newest property near Zilker Park at 2624 Deerfoot Trail.
The tutor said he was born and raised in Los Angeles but has been coming to Texas since he was 18 years old. She has seen her hometown at the forefront of design and architecture over the past few years. Now, she said, it’s interesting to see Austin moving up the rankings and starting to compete with the Los Angeles market, not only on price but also on design and architecture.
“It’s a very vibrant city, and from the moment I landed here I thought, ‘This is probably the most like Los Angeles I’ve ever seen.'” So it was a natural fit for me. “I was really drawn to Austin,” Tutor said.
Last year, KVUE reported that Austin has the most $1 million homes in Texas. Tutor said the city is experiencing significant growth.
“You can’t stop Austin at this point. Over the last five years, Austin has seen incredible growth. Even though the market is a little soft right now, this is a national There’s no question about it, entrepreneurs are coming to Austin, there are a lot of business startups, Austin has technology, and a lot of California markets are moving to Austin. So for me, that’s definitely true. This is where I want to be,” Tutor explained.
Tutor said being able to sit on a panel and talk about design and architecture and see what the brand will be like in 2024 is something that many brokers, buyers and sellers really want.
“Let me just say this: It’s an honor to be here. There are a lot of real estate agents doing great work in the Texas market that we’re in right now. I feel like this is an opportunity for me.” Learn from. I didn’t come in with an ego. I didn’t come in with any real understanding of this city other than wanting to learn from everyone,” Tutor said.
When asked what’s next for Texas Real Estate Tutor, she has a few ideas in mind for what’s next for Texas, and it may or may not involve television. He said it might be possible. But stay tuned.
