Oct. 19 – The second of five LPGA/USGA girls golf events at The Dunes in Mauilani is scheduled for Oct. 19. Girls Golf is the only junior golf program for girls ages 6 to 17 dedicated to providing a girl-friendly environment to learn the game, according to the event website. In addition to the October 19th event, sessions will also be held on November 2nd, November 16th, and November 30th. All events on Maui are set for 4-5:30 p.m., and the cost for each event is $10 per junior. Registration can be completed on the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf App. For more information, visit girlsgolf.org.
Jan. 4 – Volunteer registration is now open for the 2024 Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua Plantation Course. The tournament, set for the first week of January, with the first round beginning on January 4, will be the opening round of the 2024 PGA Tour season. Various committees that potential volunteers can join include ShotLink (including both walking scorers and laser operators), on-course transportation, gallery management, admissions and information, supplies and product distribution, and more .
