According to Google, which shared some of its travel-centric results, honeymoons in 2023 were all about luxury vacations that included both beachside and city breaks.
Most popular honeymoon destinations in 2023
The number one destination for honeymoons was Bali, Indonesia. This place is perfect for weddings because it has plenty of beaches to sit on for days, cultural activities for those who want to make new memories together, and great dining options where you can share a few dishes with friends. Perfect for new couples.
Bali was followed by Scotland. Scotland has a very different feel, but an equally great atmosphere, with lots of rolling hills, plenty of opportunities to walk along the rugged coastline and spend a little time in a pub.
These two destinations were followed by the French Riviera. National spot in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Vacation on the island of Saint Lucia. The whole of France is always a romantic country. The Galapagos Islands are an adventure lover’s dream. A fun vacation to Las Vegas. Escape to Zanzibar. And a dream of tapas in Spain.
When it comes to actual wedding locations, Google revealed that Italy’s Lake Como topped the list, followed by Mexico’s Tulum and Cancun. Next, they toured domestic spots such as Bali, where they would have a wedding and honeymoon, and Long Island, New York. San Antonio, Texas. Puerto Rico; Columbus, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. and Burlington, Vermont. But the truth is, no matter where you say “I do” or celebrate newlywed bliss, we promise you’ll have a great time.
