New Delhi : As many as 11,000 vehicles belonging to Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) such as BSF, CRPF and CISF are scheduled to be scrapped as part of the central government’s policy to scrap all vehicles older than 15 years. officials said. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also requested all state governments and union territory administrations to take necessary steps to scrap the obsolete service vehicles of state police forces and replace them with better technology and fuel efficiency. did.

The CAPFs are BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, NSG and Assam Rifles. According to MHA estimates, the CAPFs have a combined fleet of over 100,000 vehicles and are deployed on multiple missions in different parts of the country.
To check pollution, the Delhi Transport Department has so far deregistered over 54 million vehicles till January 31, 2023. The Coalition Government reported to Parliament on Thursday.
