Owen Sherman, Montgomery, forward
Montgomery had the most wins in a season in the 2000s with 11 wins. And a big reason for those victories came from Sherman. The Montgomery senior helped the program get back on track and take big steps forward from 2020, finishing his senior year with 29 goals and earning Mid-Penn All-Star honors for his efforts. did. Sherman reached his 50th career goal this fall.
Victor Permashkin, Lewisburg, forward
Lewisburg coach Ben Kettlewell perfectly summed up Permashkin’s style of play after a win over Montoursville in this year’s District 4 playoffs. Kettlewell said that even though Permashkin is not credited with an official assist, his presence on the field and presence in the midfield allows his teammates to move into positions and helps them. He pointed out that there was. Permashkin has been a valuable asset to the Green Dragons in that regard, with nine goals and 15 assists this season. Permashkin was one of four Lewisburg players to earn First Team HAC-1 honors this year.
Sam Haddon, Hughesville, forward
Haddon was a huge part of Hughesville’s success this year. Haddon led the Spartans in both goals (17) and assists (7), averaging nearly one goal per game as Hughesville narrowly missed making the playoffs. Haddon was only a sophomore, but he became a significant threat for Hughesville on the field, something the players had to take into account. He was a third team HAC-2 forward.
Evan Yoder, Milton, Forward
Yoder had a great year with the Black Panthers. That’s why he earned All-State honors this year and was one of five to be named a first-team HAC-1 All-Star at Milton. Yoder earned the region’s only all-state honors in boys soccer, finishing the year with 25 goals (team-high) and 18 assists (second-most on the team).
Wyatt Frye, Montoursville, midfield
Fry earned HAC-1 All-Star honors this year as a fourth-year midfielder and played well throughout the year. Frye was a big factor in the Warriors ultimately winning by double digits and advancing to District 4 of the playoffs.
Logan Harris, South Williamsport, midfield
Harris was named a first-team All-Star at Mid-Penn as a forward and was one of three Mounties to earn Mid-Penn honors. Harris led South Williamsport’s offense with 10 goals, tied with teammate Kayvan Shams, and added 13 assists to help South Williamsport reach the playoffs.
Dom Ballo, Milton, midfield
Baro was a player who knew the team had to take responsibility, but that was easier said than done. Barro finished the season with a team-high 18 goals and 18 assists. Buck Panther won the HAC-1 Player of the Year Award this season. He was also selected to the first team as a midfielder on the HAC-1 All-Star team.
Zach Wilcox, NP-Liberty, midfield
Wilcox had a great senior season with the Mounties. In addition to helping the Mounties earn a postseason berth, Wilcox had 18 goals and 22 assists (1.2 assists per game), serving as a major catalyst for the Mounties’ offense alongside Brady Stetter. Wilcox became the first All-State selection in Liberty University history this year, earning NTL First Team Midfield honors.
Gavin Cotto, Montoursville, defender
Earlier this year, Montoursville coach Brian Poehling said his team needed to rely on its defense to make the postseason, and the Warriors did just that. And behind that final line was Cotto. Cotto was a first-team HAC-2 defender and was a big reason the Warriors allowed just 21 goals all season.
Ethan Rose, Milton, defender
This year, the Black Panthers have allowed just 14 goals and averaged just 3.8 shots per game from the back line. If you’re going to get a shot against Milton, you need to make it meaningful, and Rose was a big reason for that success. Rose, along with his teammate Ethan Hamilton, are first-team HAC-1 defenders this year, making it a tough battle for opposing forwards and midfielders.
Parker Johnson, Williamsport, defender
Johnson was the only player at Williamsport to earn HAC-1 All-Star honors this year and earned second-team honors at Millionaire. Johnson played well for Williamsport and helped keep the game from getting out of control in terms of scoring.
Alex Gilmore, Lewisburg, defender
Have you heard of the Green Dragons and their solid defense? That’s the basis every year at Lewisburg, and this year was no exception. Gilmore earned first-team HAC-1 honors as a defender and once again helped Lewisburg’s back line play well overall.
Jonah Strobel, Milton, goalkeeper
After a game earlier this year, Williamsport coach Lee Kahl pointed out how Strobel is one of the top goaltenders in the area. You Will Be Validated After Strobel Earned First Team HAC-1 Honors in Goal. Goals were crucial against the Black Panthers, as Milton allowed only 14 goals all season. A big reason for this is the presence of Mr. Strobel. Strobel also finished the year with 11 shutouts, the most in the area.
