His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has directed the Ministry of Industry to facilitate the introduction of sustainable infrastructure solutions to rain-related problems across the Kingdom.
This follows the Cabinet’s consideration of a joint memorandum submitted by the Ministers of Local Government, Agriculture and Labor. The Cabinet expressed its appreciation to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Local Government and Agriculture for their efforts and swift response to the recent heavy rains.
Yesterday, Prince Salman chaired the weekly cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The Cabinet emphasized the importance of the consultations held between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The report pointed to the pivotal role of Jordan, led by King Abdullah, in promoting peace efforts in the region and safeguarding the interests of Arab countries, especially the Palestinian people.
The Cabinet discussed several memorandums during the meeting and approved the following:
1. Memorandum of Understanding submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Fiscal Economy and Fiscal Balance and agreed to by the executive and legislative authorities on the progress of the implementation of projects included in the Kingdom’s general budget for the fiscal year 2023-2024.
2. Memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Financial Economy and Fiscal Balance on the mechanisms and services provided by the company operating the Khalifa Bin Salman Port.
3. Memorandum submitted by the Committee of the Minister of Justice and Legislative Affairs on the Agreement between the Customs Department of the Ministry of Interior of Bahrain, the Customs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. Regarding mutual recognition of certified business programs.
4. Memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on the Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Statistics between the Information and Electronic Government Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the General Authority for Statistics.
5. Memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee on Legal and Legislative Affairs regarding the draft decision establishing rules and regulations for the establishment, appointment and identification of the headquarters of an Honorary Consulate in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
