His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Petroleum and Environment, said that Bahrain is positioned as a regional and global leader in the exhibition and conference industry thanks to its qualified, experienced capabilities and advanced infrastructure. Dr. Bin Dayna, who is also the Special Envoy for Climate Issues, highlighted the important role that the Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition (MECC) has played since its establishment in 1979 in achieving the desired goals. The Minister made the statement while hosting Dr. Raida Al Alawi, President of the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE), along with members of the MECC2023 Organizing Committee, scheduled to be held in Bahrain from November 13th to 16th.
The 18th MECC, to be held at the Gulf International Exhibition Center at the Gulf Hotel, is co-organized by the Bahrain Society of Engineers and the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) Dhahran Saudi Arabia Branch in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum and Environment.
The Minister praised the continued cooperation and coordination with sponsoring companies such as the Bahrain Engineers Association and Saudi Aramco in the preparation and holding of the Saudi-hosted petroleum conference and wished MECC 2023 a success.
