Minister of Interior General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa calls on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to strengthen security cooperation and solidarity amid the current operations in Gaza and the delicate situation in the region Ta.
His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah delivered a speech as chairman of the Bahraini delegation at the GCC Interior Ministers’ Conference held in Muscat yesterday.
“As the situation unfolds around us, we must protect our unity and refrain from any attempt to question our position or undermine national security and stability to affect us,” the minister said. It should not be tolerated.”
“This confirms the importance of coordinating mutual support for the protection of citizens among GCC countries, and that regional developments, security developments and the GCC Principles support the promotion of joint GCC security action. is necessary.”
Recognizing the regional and security situation, His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah submitted a proposal for a joint action strategy to address the growing link between illegal immigration and organized crime.
This proposal aims to establish a uniform legal procedure to effectively deal with this phenomenon. Ministers discussed topics aimed at strengthening GCC joint security cooperation. They were also informed of the recommendations of the Expert Security Committee.
They adopted a unified GCC tourist visa. It also supported a proposal to consider establishing a GCC joint committee of law enforcement officials to combat corruption. They also agreed to complete a project to electronically link traffic violations across the GCC countries. Winners of the Prince Knife Award for Security Research were also recognized.
