FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automotive Museum has announced the resumption of free admission days.
Museum staff will welcome the public to the museum in a unique way on Thursday and March 16, 2024. On Free Access Days, people with disabilities and their families and carers are invited to visit the museum free of charge.
Free access days include additional staff and volunteers, access to sensory backpacks, quiet spaces, and hands-on activities designed for visitors with disabilities. Educators, homeschool groups, group homes, and other groups serving individuals of all ages with disabilities can sign up here to reserve a free Accessible Activities Classroom Kit. The 90 kits are available to anyone in Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Grant, Huntington, Kosciuszko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells and Whitley counties.
Museum officials said they want groups of all ages and abilities to know they are welcome to learn at the museum, and free access days are open to people of all abilities to visit, new and sensory-friendly. This will be an opportunity to participate in the program.
Free access days require online pre-registration. You can complete it here.
