Bahrain’s Ministry of Works has announced the opening of tenders for the fourth package of the North Muharraq Expressway project, which will see the construction of a fourth bridge between Muharraq province and the capital Manama.
According to the Bahrain tender, the scope of the project includes the Busayteen Link (Junction 4 to Junction 5), a signature bridge and associated approach ramps, and a ring connecting the new Busayteen Link with Phase I of the North Manama Causeway. Includes road bridge development.
This strategic project is one of the major infrastructure projects financed by the Saudi Development Fund.
Tender is open to Saudi Arabian contractors who are registered in Road Works Class A in accordance with the Sub-Ministry of Contractor Classification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or registered in Road Works Class A in a JV with Bahrain in accordance with the Sub-Ministry of Contractor Classification in Saudi Arabia. Only Saudi contractors in the country can participate.
