Norman North (9-2) defeated Edmond North (3-8) 30-17 in the first round of the Oklahoma State 6A-I playoffs on Friday night at Herb Collins Stadium in Norman. .
Next up, the Timberwolves will play Owasso (8-2) in the quarterfinals on the road next Friday at 7 p.m. The Rams are ranked the No. 9 team in Oklahoma by Sports Illustrated.

This is Norman North’s first playoff win since defeating Norman High School 42-34 in the first round on Nov. 13, 2020, and its second playoff win under coach Justin Jones.

Junior quarterback Owen Eshelman scored four touchdowns in the game, three rushing and one passing. The three rushing touchdowns are the most in a game this season.
