A teenager and his accomplice committed a series of crimes in Chennai. They stole bicycles, took cellphones from food delivery workers, and then shoved and killed a morning walker and stole his cellphone as well. The culprits were apprehended by passersby and handed over to the police. The two men admitted stealing the bicycle and using it for the snatching. They were looking for money to buy drugs. The juvenile was remanded to judicial custody and the juvenile was sent to a correctional facility.

A teenage boy and his accomplice stole a bicycle, took a cellphone and killed a morning stroller before robbing him of his cellphone. The culprits were apprehended by passersby and handed over to the police. The victim was an autorickshaw driver who fell down during his morning walk and was robbed. The culprits confessed to stealing bicycles and targeting individuals to steal their cell phones. They were looking for money to buy drugs. The juvenile was remanded to judicial custody and the juvenile was sent to a correctional facility.
Madurai Police fires at suspect in chain snatching incident
A youth suspected of being involved in a chain snatching incident in Madurai has been shot dead by city police. The suspect, identified as Stephen Large, was taken to the hospital with a leg injury. The incident took place when the police tried to arrest him based on a tip-off. The suspect allegedly attacked one of the officers with a knife, causing police to fire in self-defense. Injured police officer Ranjith Kumar was also hospitalized.
