In collaboration with the Malaysian Embassy, the Malaysian Department of Agriculture and Bahrain’s Lulu Hypermarket have embarked on the promotion of juicy and nutritious Malaysian pineapples.
The launch was witnessed by Malaysian Ambassador Shazril Zahiran, Lulu Regional Director Mohamed Kareem and senior management, as well as the formal unveiling of containers loaded with pineapples and pineapple products at Lulu’s state-of-the-art logistics headquarters. This was done at the same time as the opening.
The promotion is also supported by Pineapple Industry Board Malaysia (LPNM), Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) and Jutawan Enterprises.
The official inauguration of Malaysian pineapple was held at Lulu Hypermarket in Hid.
A popular fruit representing tropical bounty and sunshine, pineapple contains antioxidants, anti-inflammatory enzymes, vitamin C, and manganese.
LuLu has a convenient cutting station that mechanically peels off the fruit’s thick, prickly outer skin and cores and slices it for customers.
