As part of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to protect the environment and the ozone layer, an important agreement has been signed to train and nationally certify technicians in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning.
The Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) and the Ministry of Education have signed a cooperation agreement with the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE). His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dayna, Minister of Petroleum and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Issues, His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, and Dr. Raida Al Alawi, President of BSE, were in attendance.
Mr. Bin Dayna said the agreement reinforces Bahrain’s commitment to protect the environment and the ozone layer in line with international treaties such as the 1985 Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer and the 1987 Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. He asserted that it was part of it.
He noted that progress in the training of Bahrain’s workers in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector has achieved the desired environmental goals since 2018, and noted that the Labor Fund Tamkeen supports the training of Bahrain’s technicians in these sectors. pointed out the important role of

Dr. Jumar affirmed the efforts of the Ministry of Education to keep up with the latest industrial sector developments by strengthening partnerships with private and government agencies.
The ministry plans to include a refrigeration and air conditioning curriculum for third-year students at technical and vocational schools, which will qualify students to obtain environmental licenses and permits that will expand job opportunities after graduation. he added.
