Manama, Bahrain: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain yesterday met Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani at Al Safriya Palace on the occasion of his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Minister of Foreign Affairs was welcomed.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed to the King of Bahrain the greetings of His Highness Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and His Highness’ wishes for further progress and prosperity for the people of Bahrain.
His Royal Highness the King of Bahrain expressed his greetings to His Highness the Amir and entrusted the Prime Minister with his wishes for the further development and prosperity of the people of Qatar. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and measures to strengthen bilateral relations in all areas.
His Highness Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, also met with the Prime Minister at Al Qudaibiya Palace. The two leaders discussed the level of cooperation achieved between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Bahrain and ways to strengthen and develop cooperation at all levels.
The meeting discussed the Qatar-Bahrain Bridge project and directed the relevant authorities of both countries to finalize the plan and begin implementation of the project.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince referred to the brotherly relationship that unites the two countries and peoples and expressed his hope for the continued progress and development of the State of Qatar.
He pointed to the importance of continuing to strengthen these relationships to a greater level, contributing to the achievement of common aspirations and reflecting the growth and prosperity of both countries and their peoples.
The two sides also discussed several issues of common interest and the latest regional and international developments, including developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip, and both sides called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza and the demobilization of civilians. He emphasized the need to protect. The only way to stabilize the region is to implement the internationally legitimized decision of June 4, 1967, to establish an independent Palestinian state on its borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
