Miner was diagnosed with cancer last year and has since raised more than $103,243 on GoFundMe. She is currently receiving hospice care at her home.
From 1992 to 1995, Minor was a standout basketball player for the Sooners. He finished his career with his second All-America championship and his second Big Eight scoring title, ranking seventh in program history with 1,946 points.
In baseball, Minor led the Sooners to the 1994 College World Series championship as a sophomore starter. Minor was drafted in both sports and finished his career at OU, as the Baltimore Orioles selected him with the 33rd pick in the MLB Draft and the Philadelphia 76ers selected him in the second round of the NBA Draft.
He played professional baseball from 1996 to 2001, spending four years in the majors and two years in the minors.
