A former prize home in Currumbin on the Gold Coast is set to be demolished this month.
The luxury beachfront property at 14B Darwala Avenue is part of the RSL Arts Union’s October 2023 draw, which was won by an interstate couple last month.
At the time of the drawing, RSL Art Union valued the prize home at $9.5 million and the furniture package at $201,619.
This follows the sale of the adjoining property (14A Darwala Avenue), which was also the home of the RSL Art Union Award won in October 2022, for $7.2 million in August.
The latest prize home to hit the market is three-storey and one of only 10 beachfront homes in the coveted southern Gold Coast suburb.
Ray White Tugun’s John Parks is marketing 14B Darwala Avenue and says no expense has been spared in design and construction.
“This stunning home showcases luxurious interiors designed by acclaimed Habitat Architects in collaboration with Makin Constructions and Kira and Kira styling,” he said.
“Together, they worked to incorporate natural elements using a soothing palette of soft neutrals, ocean blues, eucalyptus greens, and varying textures of granite, marble, and concrete, creating a timeless and luxurious mood. I created this.

Inside, the open-plan living, dining and kitchen span the entire ground floor.
The bedroom, luxurious private bathroom and powder room are also located on the ground floor.
The mid-level offers 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a relaxing living space overlooking the beach.
Other standout features include a Tasmanian oak staircase, high ceilings and decadent chandeliers.
The third floor is dedicated to entertaining and includes a wet bar, powder room, seating, and a large deck.
“This is a true expression of exclusivity and the epitome of luxury coastal living,” Parks said.
“No expense has been spared and it has been meticulously designed, crafted and styled to provide the perfect, luxurious and exclusive canvas on which to create unforgettable memories.”
The property will be foreclosed on November 26th.
The highest sale price in Currumbin was $11.3 million for a luxury home at 16 Darwala Avenue in 2021.
It wasn’t on the market, but the owner was contacted and it was sold.
