Guangzhou, November 17 (Xinhua) China is certain to become the world’s largest car exporter this year, with car exports reaching 3.9 million units in the first 10 months, an official from the China International Trade Promotion Commission said. Stated. Here on Friday.

In the first quarter, China exported 1.07 million cars, overtaking Japan for the first time to become the world’s largest car exporter. In the first 10 months, exports amounted to 3.92 million units, an increase of 59.7% over the previous year.
The export price per vehicle also rose from 85,000 yuan in 2014 to 137,000 yuan (approximately US$19,100) in the third quarter of 2023.
“In 2001, the export value of China’s automobile industry chain was only $1.56 billion, with a global share of only 0.65%. In the first eight months of this year, this figure was close to $122 billion. “The global total accounted for 5.5% of the global total,” Wang pointed out.
With the implementation of a series of policies to stabilize the economy and encourage consumption, and the gradual recovery of consumer confidence, China’s auto market will embrace new room for growth, Wang added. ■
