Bahrain Information and e-Government Authority (iGA) issues Bahrain ID cards to nationals and residents of other countries, including Pakistan.
The validity period of the ID card is 5 years from the date of issue, and 10 years if you are over 70 years old.
The validity period of an ID card is independent of the validity period of other cards or documents such as a passport or driving license. Each card/document has its own expiry date.
The fare structure for Bahraini nationals is as follows:
Initial issue of identity card: BD (Bahraini Dinar) 2
Update your ID: BD 2
Initial issuance and renewal of an identity card if the owner of the identity card is over 60 years of age: BD 1
Replacement for lost ID: BD 4
Information update: BD1
First issue of identity card for children under 10 years: BD 10

Initial issuance of ID cards for work permit holders issued before the implementation of the new domestic worker permit system: BD 10
Initial issuance of ID cards for work permit holders issued with the implementation of the new domestic work permit system: Free of charge
Renewal or replacement of lost ID cards (if both sponsorship and work permit have changed): Free
Renewal or reissue of lost ID cards (only if work permit is changed): Free of charge
Renewal or replacement of lost ID card (if sponsor and work permit have not changed): BD 10
Initial issuance of identification documents for employees registered with the LMRA: Free of charge
Renewing your ID: BD 10
Reissue of lost ID: BD 10
Chip details updated: BD 1
The authorities also provided a fast-track lounge where people could obtain Bahraini IDs on an emergency basis. A fast track fee of BD 10 will be added on top of the regular rate.
