Malls across Maui are hosting Black Friday shopping, photos with Santa, and other holiday events just in time for the Christmas season.
The Shops at Wailea will feature Santa Claus during the parade from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday. He will be escorted from Kalama Park to the shop by a Maui Classic Cruiser and Street Bikers United Hawaii.
The parade will be followed by the Holiday Polynesian Show in the Lower Valley Performance Area from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by the monthly Ke Kani show featuring the Kalani pair from 5:30 to 7 p.m.・A Horn O Wailea concert will be held.
The concert will benefit the Hawaii Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund, which supports victims of the devastating Maui wildfires. Guests who donate $50 or more will receive an exclusive Shops at Wailea cap.
The shop will also host a canned food drive for the Maui Food Bank. Recommended items include canned meat and tuna, canned fruits and vegetables, cereals, protein-filled soups, and rice and pasta. The Queen Kaahumanu Center will also host an event Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. KPOA’s Shane Kahalehau will be broadcasting live remotely from center stage, and there will also be giveaways.
Santa will arrive Dec. 1 for a program from 5 to 6 p.m. In addition to giveaways, special deals and holiday performances, there will be free cookies and hot cocoa sponsored by Starbucks.

Maui Mall Village is “Hau’oli Holiday” Starting with Small Business Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Santa will arrive for photos from 10 a.m. to noon. Shoppers can bring non-perishable food donations to the mall’s Holiday Food Drive to the Maui Food Bank and take a free selfie with Santa and his elves. Singer-songwriter Jason Tepola will perform from noon to 1 p.m., followed by Halau Hula O Keola Alii O Kekai from 1 to 2 p.m.
