The Ministry of Youth Affairs confirmed that it is continuously coordinating with relevant authorities to monitor the land allocation of the “Youth Empowerment” center, which is currently operating in a rented facility rather than a permanent facility.
The statement was in response to a parliamentary question by MP Hassan Ibrahim.
The ministry further explained that it is actively working to expand and diversify the range of programs, activities and events for youth. These efforts are aligned with a clear strategy and are based on available resources and capabilities.
The aim is to identify and develop young talent and develop them at local, regional and international level.
Highlighting the ministry’s efforts to support youth centres, it was revealed that there are currently 38 youth empowerment centers in the Kingdom.
These include 15 in the northern province, 10 in the capital province, nine in the southern province, and four in Muharraq province.
The Ministry recognized the important role of youth in nation-building and emphasized that it is dedicated to nurturing their potential.

Regarding youth-specific initiatives, projects, awards and programs, the Ministry highlighted several notable initiatives.
These include the prestigious King Hamad Award for Empowering Youth to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and the Nasser Bin Hamad International Award for Youth Creativity.
Additionally, the Ministry hosts events such as Bahrain Youth Day and Gulf Youth Day, in parallel with national projects such as “Youth Voices”, “Bahrain Youth Ambassadors” and “Youth City 2030”, among others. It is sponsored or supervised by the government. We carry out service activities across various centers.
Regarding the establishment of youth centers and their headquarters, the Ministry explained that the process will follow the procedures outlined in the law governing socio-cultural associations, clubs and private organizations.
The Ministry provided an update on the construction of the Northern Sahara Youth Empowerment Center, stating that construction is underway with the appointed contractor.
