The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF), under the auspices of the Embassy of India, on Friday organized its 15th Art Carnival titled ‘Faber-Castell Spectra 2023’ at the Isa Town premises of the Indian School of Bahrain (ISB). It was held at
Art Carnival aims to encourage and celebrate the artistic skills of youth and is the largest art competition for students in Bahrain.
In the morning, the Embassy’s Second Secretary Ihijas Aslam lit the lamp in the presence of ICRF members and volunteers, inaugurating the finale, and in the evening the winners of the art competition were announced.
This year’s Faber-Castell Spectra 2023 saw nearly 3,000 children from almost 25 schools across Bahrain participate in the competition.
In addition, a contest for adults (18 years and older) was also held. The awardees were recognized at a ceremony held at his ISB Jashanmal auditorium in Isa town.
Indian Ambassador Vinod K. Jacob distributed the winning trophies and certificates.

Mr. Suresh Babu, Mr. Murli Nomura, Mr. Javad Pasha, Mr. Deepshika, Mr. Pankaj Malik, Mr. Shivakumar, Mr. K. T. Salim, Mr. Chemban Jalal, Mr. Rajeevan, Mr. Nushad, Clifford. , and other volunteers attended the ceremony.
The program included an Indian traditional festival with semi-classical dances and various food stalls.
For the art competition, students were divided into four age groups: 5 to 8 years old, 8 to 11 years old, 11 to 13 years old, and 14 to 18 years old.
Trophies and certificates were awarded to the top five in each group.
Group 1 winner is Jubal John Jozi from New Millennium School. Second place went to Chinmayi Manikandan from Bahrain Indian School.
3rd Place: Dhruv Tiny Chand (Rifa) from Bahrain Indian School. 4th place: Haika Mohammed Mahfaz of Ibn Al-Haytham Islamic School. 5th place: Adira Kulkasodika (Rifa) from Bahrain Indian School.
Group 2 winner is Elina Prasanna (Rifa) from Indian School Bahrain. Second place went to Oindrila Dey from New Indian School. Third place went to Christy Stevens of New Millennium School. Fourth place went to Srihari Santosh from Bahrain Indian School (Isa Town).
Fifth place went to Daksh Pravin Gadi from Bahrain Indian School (Isa Town).
The Group 3 winner is Erica Ziona Gonsalves of Sacred Heart School. Second place went to Ayana Shaji Madhavan from Bahrain Indian School (Isa Town). Third place goes to Krishna Anil Kumar from Asian School Bahrain. Fourth place went to Diya Shereen from Bahrain Indian School (Isa Town). And fifth place goes to Anna Therese Sillo of the Asian School.
The winners of Group 4 were: 1st place Shilpa Santhosh from The Indian School Bahrain (Isa Town), 2nd place Sreyas MS from The Asian School, 3rd place Swathi Sajith from The Indian School Bahrain (Isa Town), and 4th place Anleen. Group 5 winners are Vikas Kumar Gupta, 2nd place Nitasha Biju and 3rd place Bhupendra Pathak.
The winning works and the children’s excellent works will be produced as a wall calendar and desk calendar for 2024, which will be released on December 29th.
The net proceeds of the contest will be donated to the Family Welfare Fund, which will provide relief to support the families of Indian workers who died on less than BD 125 per month.
