In a tragic incident yesterday, an Asian man lost his life when his car lost control and crashed into a store in Karzakan.
Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said a 22-year-old man who was inside the store at the time suffered serious injuries in the accident.
He was rushed to the hospital, but died due to fatal injuries.
An investigation into the exact circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
Civil Defense Forces immediately arrived on the scene and brought the situation under control.
It is unclear whether anyone else was injured in the incident.
In a similar incident on July 10, reported by the Daily Tribune, a 36-year-old motorcyclist lost his life in a tragic collision on Al Ghous Street in Muharraq province.
The accident occurred when a car and a motorcycle collided.
Underscoring this figure, a recent report from the Department of Labor revealed that pedestrians accounted for the majority of road accident victims over the past three years.
Of the total incidents, 48 pedestrians were injured or killed.
The report, which comes from the Road Safety Group’s Road Safety Audit, further showed that drivers, passengers, motorcyclists and cyclists are also affected.
In response to this pressing issue, the General Directorate of Transport has introduced various measures to strengthen road safety.
These efforts have resulted in a laudable 50% reduction in fatal accidents across the Kingdom.
