The festive program, called “Celebrate Bahrain 2023”, will feature a series of activities and conclude with a fireworks display to ring in the new year in style. The festival firmly marks the Kingdom’s National Day with a rich package of family, music, culture and sports. Family activities include Festival City, a family carnival with recreational games, restaurants, and live entertainment activities.
The second edition of the Heritage Village Festival, organized by the Ministry of Information, is also being planned alongside other events such as the Autumn Fair and Bahrain Shopping Festival to be held at Exhibition World Bahrain. New Year’s fireworks displays will be held at various locations including Marassi Al Bahrain, Bahrain Bay, Water Garden City, Bahrain Financial Harbour, Bahrain Fort, Bahrain National Museum and Al Najma Club. A concert by the Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra was also held, sponsored by the Bahrain National Theatre, and a cultural music show sponsored by the Bahrain Culture and Antiquities Authority (Baca). The list of activities includes the second edition of the ‘Muharraq Nights’ festival held in the heart of Muharraq Island and hosted by Baka, and others such as the recently postponed 7th BNP Paribas Bahrain Jazz Fest 2023 Also includes events.
