As part of a concerted effort to oversee the progress of key infrastructure development projects, His Excellency Ebrahim bin Hassan Al Khawaj, Minister of Works, announced a major inspection of ongoing projects in the capital’s Third District. was carried out.
He was accompanied by esteemed dignitaries including His Excellency Sheikh Mishal bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Deputy Engineer; Mamdouh Abbas Al Saleh, Member of Parliament, 3rd District of the Capital Governorate; Engineer Saleh Talada, Chairman of the Capital City Council and Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, Deputy Governor of the Capital Governorate.
The minister’s visit provided a deeper understanding of infrastructure development efforts, including roads and sewage systems, in the third package of projects aimed at strengthening roads, sewage networks and municipalities.
Notable among these projects is the construction of a new service street at Block 426 in Zidafus on the Budaiya Expressway. The service street is intended to improve access and connectivity for residents and businesses in the area, smoothing traffic flow and improving overall convenience.
The Minister emphasized the importance of road paving efforts in Seef District, in addition to service streets. These initiatives include the development of Block 428 and the construction of Road 3643, which connects to the Kalbabad coastline in Block 436.
Additionally, the visit highlighted the remarkable road paving efforts in the Seef region, highlighting the government’s commitment to infrastructure development. These projects include extensive paving of several roads in Block 428 and construction of Road 3643, which will serve as a key route to the Kalbabad coastline in Block 436.

In addition, progress was made on the initial phase of road paving of Road 2813 in Block 428, followed by the next phase of paving and development of the same area. Additionally, various roads in Block 436 within the Seef district will be paved, contributing to the development of the transportation network for the entire region.
These projects include not only road paving, but also road construction, lighting equipment, and the installation of above-ground ducts for future service use. In addition, regulatory and warning signs, as well as important traffic signs to ensure safety, are an integral part of the comprehensive development plan.
Minister Al Khawaji confirmed the ministry’s dedication to implementing infrastructure development projects in line with the strategic plan. These projects aim to strengthen public services and respond to the diverse needs and aspirations of local communities. He emphasized the ministry’s commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in completing these projects.
During the visit, Member of Parliament Al Saleh expressed his gratitude for the practical approach of the Minister of Industry and emphasized the positive impact of field visits in monitoring the progress of infrastructure development. He praised the Ministry’s commitment to professionalism and quality in delivering projects across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Mr. Eng Talada acknowledged the cooperative efforts of the Ministry of Works and the Capital Secretariat, highlighting their joint efforts towards infrastructure development across the province. Mr. Al Madani confirmed the province’s continuous efforts in collaboration with various government agencies to achieve common goals and improve the quality of life of residents.
