The event featured 58 mega real estate projects with a total value of an astonishing $8 billion, marking a staggering 155% increase compared to 2022. Moreover, this event triggered an amazing transaction value of BD240 million, an increase of 144% from 2022. Cityscape Bahrain 2023 will be a thought-provoking conference and seminar with over 300 participants led by local and regional industry pioneers and experts on the theme “Sustainability and Digital Transformation in the Real Estate Sector” A program was also held. The conference brought together industry stakeholders to discuss the latest trends and developments in these critical areas and call for action to implement more sustainable and digitally enabled business models.
On the sidelines of the event, the Bahrain Real Estate Innovation Competition was held to recognize the innovation of national talents and their contribution to integrating innovative ideas into the development and sustainability of Bahrain’s real estate sector. Shaikha Bahar, founder of the “Sustainable Smart Neighborhood” project, took his first place and won a prize of $10,000. The second place winner was Abdulrahman Showaiter, creator of “SAND – Electronic Real Estate ID,” who won a prize of $6,000. Ali Al-quran, creator of “Aqar – Safe Real Estate Investment Platform” took his third place and won a prize of $4,000.
The first ‘Architects of Tomorrow’ competition, themed ‘Sustainable Architecture for a Better World’, will feature People’s Choice Award winners showcasing the most exemplary projects championing sustainable architecture. Two people were announced. The winners are Zainab Ja’afar Ahmed Abdullah Hussein Al-Khalal from the University of Bahrain and Rama Jassim S. Al-Shaikh from the Royal Women’s University.
