In a dedicated effort to celebrate and support women entrepreneurs in Bahrain, the Women’s Supreme Council and Labor Fund Tamkeen co-hosted an engaging panel discussion at the Riyadat Center.
A highlight of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the event brought together accomplished women from various fields to share their experiences, challenges and triumphs in the entrepreneurial world.
The esteemed panel featured Hala Almoaid, CEO of Almoaid Contracting Group, who revealed the unique challenges and successes of her journey in the construction industry, where women are often underrepresented.
Fable Mill founder Eman Al Sabah delves into the pivotal role of women in filmmaking and the broader creative field. Dania Al-Shuwaikh, co-founder of Daleel, explores the opportunities unfolding in her rapidly evolving FinTech sector, and Aida Al-Mudaifa, founder of Early Riser, pursues growth and expansion. shed light on the formidable challenges facing start-up companies.
This important gathering was held as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s annual celebration aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration between startups and entrepreneurs.
The 2023 edition, held from November 14th to 21st, featured a number of events aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and innovation.

As a testament to Tamkeen’s continued commitment to empowering Bahraini women in the field of entrepreneurship, the event provided a platform to women who have made a significant impact in their respective fields.

Tamkeen’s unwavering dedication to the empowerment of Bahraini women is evident in its impressive track record. Having supported over 15,000 women-led businesses, Tamkeen has helped over 7,000 women turn their entrepreneurial visions into reality.
Riyadat’s portfolio, designed to fund women-owned businesses, has delivered a total of BD9.44 million worth of benefits to 407 women. In terms of human capital, more than 72,000 women have benefited from various training and employment support initiatives, further contributing to the growth and sustainability of Bahrain’s entrepreneurship.
