Other Banijay companies such as Endemol Shine Iberia and Endemol Shine Australia are also moving into sports documentation, while Banijay Benelux is a subsidiary of Dutch sports production company Southfields, which produces news reports, talk shows, documentaries and more. Earlier this year, Banijay Ibera also signed a deal to launch a sports content production company, La Liga Studio.
“We have already made some thoughtful moves in the sports space across our global footprint of talented producers, but we wanted to focus on building value in this space.” Bassetti said. “Having a centralized department will further enhance our ability to realize partnerships, drive higher volumes, take advantage of digital opportunities and ultimately achieve our ongoing goals of expanding the Group. ”
