Lulu Group, a prominent retail chain in the GCC, is pleased to announce the expansion of its collaboration with SirajPower, a leading distributed solar energy provider in the region. This expanded partnership demonstrates Lulu Group’s continued commitment to environmental sustainability and green initiatives.
After a successful collaboration in the UAE, Lulu Group signed a long-term solar lease agreement with SirajPower to facilitate the installation of advanced 10MWp solar rooftop systems at six key locations of Lulu Hypermarkets in Bahrain.
The solar power capacity will be strategically distributed across various locations including Lulu Hypermarket in Riffa and Hid, Ramli Mall in Aari, Lulu Dana Mall in Sanabis and Lulu Logistics Warehouse in Sitra. Al Namal Group, a leading local partner specializing in construction, contracting, real estate, property development and management, health and hospitality, will provide expertise and services for the installation of these solar PV systems.
These state-of-the-art solar panels are expected to generate approximately 17GWh of clean energy per year, leading to a reduction in CO2 emissions of approximately 12,078 tons per year. This initiative is in line with Lulu Group’s sustainability goals and supports Bahrain’s vision for clean energy.
