travel experience
This pioneering initiative aims to improve the travel experience for individuals with hidden disabilities and ensure their needs are recognized, understood and supported throughout their journey.
The Hidden Disability Sunflower Scheme is a globally recognized program that uses a discreet sunflower symbol to identify passengers with invisible disabilities. By wearing a sunflower lanyard, individuals can communicate to airport personnel that they may require additional assistance or have specific needs that should be addressed.
Customers with hidden disabilities such as autism, anxiety disorders, dementia or Crohn’s disease who require additional support can proceed to check-in counter B19 where they can collect their sunflower lanyard. Wearing this lanyard signals to all airport personnel that a passenger may require special handling and assistance during security procedures, airport transportation, or boarding.
