Verona, N.Y. — Turning Stone Casino Resort’s newest nightlife venue will debut this month, along with a rebrand and relocation of its sports betting lounge.
The new venue, called NY Rec & Social Club, will open Dec. 18 in the former Lava Nightclub location in the Exit 33 wing of the casino.
The new club will “bridge the gap between sportsbook and lounge,” according to a news release from the Oneida Indian Nation, which operates the casino. There are 60 high-definition televisions, plus games such as foosball, shuffleboard, darts, and billiards. It also plans to offer table betting games such as blackjack and craps.
The lounge can seat up to 200 people and will feature “innovative game-day cuisine from Chef de Cuisine Dustin Tuthill and signature cocktails served at the crystal chandeliered main bar,” according to a news release. It is said that it is also available.
At the same time, Oneida is rebranding its sports betting venues at Turning Stone and YBR Casino in Chittenango and Point Place Casino in Bridgeport. The sportsbooks have operated under a brand relationship with Nevada-based Caesars Sports since opening in 2019.
The new sportsbooks at all three casinos will be rebranded as TS Sports. Turning Stone’s sports book will move from its current location near the casino’s main entrance to the NY Rec & Social Club.
Joel Barkin, vice president of communications for the business unit at Oneida & Turning Stone Enterprises, said the type of betting and play at the sportsbook remains the same. Players will no longer have access to Caesar’s rewards program, but TS Sports will offer its own version.
“Caesars is establishing its sportsbook as the most exciting place for fans to watch and place bets on the big game,” Oneida Indian President and Turning Stone Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter said in the news release. They have been a valuable partner in our efforts.” release. “The launch of TS Sports will help us continue this tradition while further evolving these venues and the experiences they offer.”
Turning Stone’s new lounge offers two of the largest sports books in Oneidas, New York. The YBR Sports Betting Lounge has 9,000 square feet of space and has room for 250 fans. It also features a 32-foot LED screen, over 35 additional screens, and his six “fan caves” offering private viewing areas and personalized food and beverage service.
The Oneida family recently upgraded the sportsbook at Point Place Casino and installed a new full-service restaurant and bar.
NY Rec & Social Club is part of Turning Stone the Oneidas’ $370 million expansion plan announced earlier this year.
The project includes a new hotel, a double-sized conference center and other additional dining and entertainment facilities, making it Turning Stone’s largest expansion since it opened 30 years ago.
