Despite being highly successful in the real estate industry, industry titan Andrew Coronis finds himself faced with unexpected concerns as the seller of his family home.
“Selling a home is like hanging up your laundry for everyone to walk by and see,” Coronis said.
“Even if everything goes well during a real estate sale, it can still be stressful.”
Selling his home at 13 Bennison Street, Ascot, is a reluctant move for the man who has been in the game for 35 years, spearheading Coronis Group, Queensland’s largest wholly-owned end-to-end property business. It will be.
“One Saturday in 2007, while I was busy with work, my wife Anna took our three children and found this house,” he said.
“As soon as she walked up the front steps, she knew this was her home.
“She always wanted us to be here until the kids could go to school and her son Samuel just finished Grade 12. So we accomplished that.”
As the couple embraces the bittersweet transition to their nearly empty nest, they are now focusing their passion on an inspirational project: renovating their new home just 500 meters away.

“We love this area. When we first arrived there were 40 kids on this street and there are still about 30,” Coronis said.
“Finding such a family-friendly haven like this has been invaluable to us, so we don’t plan on going far.
“As we embark on a new stage in our lives, we are working on new projects. We are very excited, but we did not make this decision lightly. It was a very difficult decision.”
But the hard-earned insight Coronis gained to navigate his situation didn’t just come from the boardroom.

Rather, his excellence is a blend of business acumen and a determined commitment to family life.
“As with many things in life, real estate is all about patience,” Coronis said.
“When you buy a property, you have to be patient until the right buyer comes along, and when you sell a property, you have to be patient until the right buyer comes along.
“Personally, I have known I would make this move since 2016 and have been planning it ever since.
“But it took that long for this move to become our family’s next goal.”
An innovator at heart, both he and his wife, Anna, are looking forward to rolling up their sleeves to a new, blank canvas, but that doesn’t mean the art of patience doesn’t still work.
“Renovations also require patience, but not because there are ups and downs,” he said.
“The best way to renovate is to live in the home and get a feel for it before making any major changes.
“Architects can benefit from bringing the experience of actually living there, no matter how good, to a project.”
This sober approach to home improvement inspired the final portion of 13 Beninson, the main residential area of 13 Beninson, to take shape.
Enclosed by eye-catching frameless Lotus glass doors, this inspired space was created by Mr. Coronis, who hates washing up dusty balconies on holidays.
“I wanted it to feel like you’re sitting on a balcony, even though you’re indoors,” he says.
“We created a room that combines kitchen facilities, a dining area and a lounge as a gathering place for everyone.
“It’s where the magic happens for our family and I think we spend 70 percent of our time there at home.
“I hope I can somehow recreate that space somewhere in my new home.”
