The conclusion of the dialogue, co-chaired by Al Jaber and IEA Director-General Fatih Birol, brings together more than 40 high-level leaders, including four heads of state and 18 delegates and ministers. This is an important result. From diverse regions.

These goals include tripling renewable energy capacity and doubling energy efficiency by 2030, structural reductions in fossil fuel use, the oil and gas industry’s commitment to 1.5 degrees Celsius, This includes financing mechanisms for clean energy in the country.
Leaders expressed strong support for the COP28 Presidency’s Global Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Pledge, with more than 110 countries signing the initiative.
Urgency on the coal front has emerged as a key consensus, with emphasis on not only stopping the continued buildup of new coal-fired power plants, but also accelerating the retirement of existing facilities.
