On Friday, Bahrain Victorious debuted a striking new 2024 kit based on a special design from the Tour de France 2023.
The jersey retains elements of teal, symbolizing the shallow waters of the mother-of-pearl “Two Seas” around the kingdom. Gold accents pay homage to the team’s founding in 2017, highlighting the design’s pearly white motif.
Fabian Cancellara posted a beautiful and heartbreaking tribute to the late Gino Maeder
Its design is quite different from the red version the team has worn since 2017.
“With a touch of gold, the team has gone back to its basics, moving from black back to navy blue,” the team said in a statement. “Black and carbon have many connotations and this is more than just a color change. It demonstrates the commitment of our team and partners to reducing carbon emissions.”
In addition to the fresh color palette, the hashtag #rideforgino appears directly below the primary team logo as a tribute to the late Gino Mader. The Swiss cyclist died in a downhill crash at his home 2023 Tour de Suisse.
We will be able to see the new kit in action in less than a month when the team begins the season at the Tour Down Under in January.
