The aircraft descended normally at an airport in Bangladesh, but entered several holds during the approach phase.
Bad weather at the destination airport…
Dhaka Weather (screenshot taken at 02:37 UK time) highlights significant fog in Dhaka, with previous forecasts saying visibility was up to 100 meters at one point. It has been reported.
Due to these adverse conditions, the crew of Gulf Air Flight GF250 decided to divert to Bangkok, Thailand, where conditions were better.
According to the report, the cause of the emergency noise on Flight 7700 was that the crew was low on fuel, which resulted in the need for priority arrival in Bangkok.
The flight, which originally departed from Bahrain, landed in the Thai capital this morning at 9:13 a.m. local time.
At this stage, it is unclear when the aircraft will head to Dhaka or simply reroute and return to its base in Manama.
