FAIRMONT — The Fairmont 15U girls hockey lineup rode a four-game winning streak to win the O-Town Showdown tournament last weekend in Owatonna.
Alexis Haycraft and Lauren Bettin had six goals and five assists to lead Fairmont to an 8-1 win over Duluth in its season opener last Friday.
Alexis Haycraft had a hat trick and playmaker with three goals and three assists, respectively, while Bettin had three goals and two helpers.
Kennedy Murphy and Haylin Haycraft each scored a goal, and teammates Harper Ertz and Carly Gustafson each had an assist in the win.
Alexis Sandeen made four saves between the pipes to give Fairmont the win.
Alexis Haycraft had two goals and one assist and Sundeen made 15 stops to lift Fairmont to a 4-1 quarterfinal victory over Owatonna last Saturday.
Bettin and Murphy each contributed a goal in the win, and Kinley Beamer had one helper.
Bettin connected on a double assist from Alexis Haycraft and Avery Kurt for the game-winning goal last Saturday with 1:35 left in regulation to lead Fairmont to a 3-2 victory over Buffalo in the semifinals.
Alexis Haycraft and Haylin Haycraft each scored one goal against Down to the Wire, while Mariel Parrish and Bettin each had one assist for Fairmont.
Sandeen repelled more than a dozen shots on Buffalo’s net, sealing the victory.
Parrish had a game-best four goals with two assists as Fairmont defeated the Des Moines Lady Wild 9-0 in the tournament championship game on Sunday.
Alexis Haycraft scored two goals, Bettin brought on two helpers, and Jocelyn Meyer, Curt, and Murphy each scored one goal to contribute to the shutout.
Haylin Haycraft had an assist and Sundeen made four saves in net to give Fairmont the win.
The Fairmont 15U team (10-4-1) returns to Martin County Arena on Friday, Dec. 29, to take on Minnetonka at Fairmont at 6 p.m., followed by Chaska on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 10:45 a.m. /Hiatus until play against Chanhassen. 30th at Fairmont.

Preston Sepres had a hat trick, Preston Geardes had three assists and Fairmont defeated the St. Michael Albertville Blue 5-3 at Martin County Arena.
Hunter Olson and Tyler Pankow each had one goal and Caleb Meyer had one assist.
Fairmont’s Colton Hintz made 14 saves between the first and third periods, and Kayden Olson had nine stops in the middle segment.
Heldes had two goals, Cepres had one goal and three helpers to lead Fairmont to a 4-2 win against the St. Michael-Albertville Golds at Martin County Arena last Saturday.
Bryce Aake scored Fairmont’s first goal and Noah Maisel had two assists.
Olson had 15 shots on net during his two terms, while Hintz had 11 stops in one stretch between the pipes.
Heldes scored the tying goal on Sunday with double assists from Sepres and Ilke, giving Fairmont a 4-3 win over Hutchinson.
Kayden Wickert, Bryce Rouschen and Maisel each scored one goal, while Cepres and Hunter Olson had assists.
Hintz had four stops in two frames of action, while Olson had 12 shots on net in the second period for Fairmont.

Ryder That had a hat trick in leading Fairmont to a 6-4 victory over Okoboji last Saturday in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
Kane Wohlfter, Colton Schroeder and Luther Malo each contributed in the win with one goal, while Eli Maisel and Bennett Draper each had an assist.
Blakely Scholl made seven saves and Johnny Frerichs added two stops for Fairmont.
Wolfter scored a game-leading five goals and added one assist to spark Fairmont’s 8-2 rout of Redwood Falls on Sunday at Redwood Falls.
Zatt had one goal and a game-best four helpers for Fairmont, with Maisel and Caleb Kennedy each finding the back of the net once.
For Fairmont, Van Kolowski made 14 saves between the pipes and Frerichs added one in the net.
