Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, congratulated King Hamad of Bahrain as the country celebrates its 52nd National Day.
In a message shared on social media, Sheikh Mohammed wished the country security, stability and future prosperity.
“We congratulate our brothers, leaders and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the country and the anniversary of the anniversary of the succession of our brother King Hamad bin Isa to power in the kingdom,” Sheikh Mohammed said on Friday. I wrote to X. .
“Our relations with Bahrain are brotherly and stable, well established and developed, official, popular and pragmatic.
“May God grant them security, stability and prosperity, and may God preserve the love and brotherhood among our peoples.”
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, also sent his congratulations.
“We congratulate the King, government and people of Bahrain on National Day and ask God to protect Bahrain and its people and grant them goodness, nobility and prosperity,” he wrote to X. Ta.
This weekend’s celebrations commemorate the accession of King Hamad’s father, King Isa bin Salman, to the throne on December 16, 1961.
The country gained independence after about 10 years under his reign.
Bahrain’s modern history began in the late 19th century, when the island became a protectorate of the British Empire.
In 1947, the island became the seat of the Gulf Garrison and home to some of the most senior British officials in the region.
This situation finally ended with the country’s full independence on August 15, 1971. Although independence was achieved in his August, Bahrain’s National Day is always held at the end of the year in honor of the late monarch.
