Karnataka Social Club – Bahrain holds Christmas and National Day festivities
Bahrain: Karnataka Social Club Bahrain held a Christmas tree function along with National Day celebrations at its premises in Manama on December 15.
The event began with children waving the Bahraini flag in synchronized movements while singing the Bahraini National Day song. This was followed by the singing of traditional carols by members’ children, which has been a feature of the club since its inception.
Snacks and drinks were quickly distributed and we waited for Santa Claus to arrive. Soon Santa Claus arrived in his usual cheerful mood and welcomed the excited children with a ho-ho-ho Merry Christmas message.
This year, Santa Claus also showed his talent in the field of dance, performing enthusiastically with a dance group to the chartbuster “Elsalema.” Christmas gifts were then distributed to all children under the age of 12.
What cannot be ignored is that adults were participating in a game called “Uski Topi Uska Zaar” in their usual sporting fashion. In this game, the women had to place a hat on a man’s head and face elimination if the music stopped while the hat was still on. hand.
This was followed by a sumptuous buffet. After lunch, the members swung a leg or two to Konkani Masala, demonstrating their talent in stages from Tiger Dance to Baila, a perfect ending that brought back fond memories of dancing in their hometown of Mangalore.
The program ended with a thank you to DJ Francis, Roshan for photography, carol singing trainers, women’s section, sponsors and all the volunteers who contributed to the success of the event.
