On Friday, five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton officially signed his national letter of intent with Deion Sanders and Colorado. Seaton joined the Buffaloes on Dec. 7, but he did not sign an NLI on Wednesday, causing concern among Colorado fans. The two-day postponement comes amid calls from states such as Maryland for a delay in withdrawing commitments. Colorado fans breathed a sigh of relief when Seaton signed his NLI in a video posted on social media. Shortly after, the Buffaloes officially announced this in their own social media post.
The top-ranked OL in the 2024 recruiting class committed to Colorado State earlier this month. The Buffaloes rank him 21st in 247Sports’ team recruiting rankings.
According to 247Sports, Seaton is listed at 6-foot-5 and 287 pounds, has an impressive 6-foot-10 wingspan, and was once clocked at 17.7 mph by GPS tracking during a game. He was the No. 13 overall player in the 2024 recruiting cycle, going to Colorado over the likes of Maryland, Tennessee, Ohio State and Alabama. 247Sports scouting director Andrew Ivins believes Seaton has Day 1 NFL Draft potential.
Seton is a game-changer for a Colorado program that is in dire need of offensive reinforcements. The Buffaloes allowed 56 sacks, more than any team in the Power Five, and ranked last in the nation in rushing offense. Seaton should be a candidate to start as a freshman at the University of Colorado, along with transfer recruits Tyler Johnson (Houston), Yaqiri Walker (UW), Kahlil Benson (Indiana) and Justin Meyers (UTEP). Join the attack team.
247Sports scouting director Andrew Ivins sees Seaton as having high-end NFL potential.
“He’s one of the few offensive line prospects in the 2024 cycle who has a chance to be a left tackle at the highest level of the game,” he said, recorded as a 12th grader at IMG Academy, which has produced many notable linemen over the years. Based on that, he should be viewed as a potential multi-year starter for the College Football Playoff.”
Seaton is the highest-ranked prospect Sanders signed out of high school during his time at the University of Colorado. He joins cornerback Komani McClain as the second five-star player the program has acquired in that division.
