The 2nd ASDC National Automotive Olympics organized by Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) will be held on December 29, 2023 by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and NPOCA (National Program on Career Awareness) The project was successfully completed in cooperation with announcement.
The final event ceremony was held at AKG Engineering College, Ghaziabad. The competition aimed to increase students’ interest in the automotive industry and provide them with basic to advanced knowledge. CBSE Joint Secretary (Skill Education) Ravindra Pal Singh attended the event as the chief guest.
Officials claim that the Olympics saw participation of a large number of students from grades 6 to 12 across India. Group 1 (classes 6-8) was won by Saketh Sandeep, followed by 1st place Hiral Sharma and his 2nd place Ishan Snehi. In Group 2 (Classes 9 and 10), Rudralaju secured his 1st place while Divya Jyoti Senapati and Mayank Kumar Rai secured his 2nd and his 3rd place respectively. In Group 3 (Classes 11 and 12), Souhardya Roy secured his 1st position in this category while Anuj Bhattacharya and Ayushman Saho secured his 2nd and his 3rd positions respectively.
“The Automotive Olympics fosters young talent and ignites a passion for the field in students. Developing skills and interest in automotive careers from a young age builds a long-term pipeline of skilled professionals. Industry-academia collaboration efforts like this are essential to take the sector forward,” said Ravindra Pal Singh, Joint Secretary (Skills Education), CBSE.
