Subway Socceroos will take on Bahrain in an international friendly in Abu Dhabi as part of their preparations for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™.
The clash at Baniyas Stadium will kick off at 1am (AEDT) on Sunday 7 January and will be the sixth meeting between the two countries, while also providing an opportunity to prepare for the tournament, which begins a week later.
Coach Graham Arnold has named 26 strong players for the tournament as Australia look to win their second title.
Australia are in Group B along with India, Syria and Uzbekistan.
How to watch
The match against Bahrain will be broadcast live for free on Australia’s “home of soccer” Network 10.
International friendlies will also be streamed live on both 10 Play and Paramount+.
