DJ Envy’s controversial business partner Cesar Pina is seeking a plea deal with federal prosecutors for his role in a real estate scam.according to all hip hopCourt documents highlight efforts by Pina’s attorneys to seek a continuance.
“The parties’ lawyers expressed that this additional continuation is necessary for effective preparation and to enable the parties to attempt to resolve this case prior to indictment and thereby avoid a trial. ” the document says. “The plea agreement is currently in progress, and both the United States and the defendant desire additional time to negotiate a plea agreement, which would eliminate the need for grand jury proceedings and a trial in this matter.”
In November, DJ Envy and Cesar Pina were named in a new real estate lawsuit. Court documents obtained by all hip hopEnvy, and Pina are being sued by Derik Deangelo, Chamblin Group Real Estate Ventures LLC, and Reispec Developments LLC.
According to the complaint, the two used the “New Jersey Flip” seminar as a “funnel to attract victims” to commit real estate fraud. The lawsuit includes violations of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, breach of contract, civil RICO violations, and fraudulent wire transfers. The plaintiffs are seeking a jury trial and are seeking $2 million in damages.
“During these private consultations and meet-ups, members of the Pina Network seek to ‘stretch’ each attendee’s financial resources, and seek to ‘stretch’ the financial resources of each attendee, encouraging sufficiently wealthy individuals to engage Pina, DJ Envy, and other members of the network.” He invited them to form a “partnership” with the company. network in a real estate “joint venture”,” the document reads. “During these meetings, Pina also provides personal ‘consulting services’, including his one-on-one work with guests in his office for a flat fee ranging from $1,500 per meeting to $2,500 per meeting. We have made it possible to accommodate private meetings.”

DJ Envy’s co-host Charlamagne Tha God recently appeared on the Rap Radar podcast and revealed that she plans to continue the show even though Envy is no longer part of the crew.
“The Breakfast Club is bigger than any of us individually,” Charla said. “I’ve always felt that way.”
He added, “I never felt like ‘The Breakfast Club’ was just a show about three people. My heart was always there.”
