Newly crowned world champion Luke Humphries, teenage sensation Luke Littler and reigning champion Michael Smith will headline the 2024 Bahrain Darts Masters later this month, with 16 players currently competing. It’s confirmed.
The opening World Series of Darts event of 2024 will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit on January 18th and 19th, with eight PDC superstars competing against eight Asian representatives over the two-day event.

BIC and CBX have teamed up with PDC to partner with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority to bring the World Series of Darts back to Bahrain as world champion Humphries prepares to take center stage.
World number one Humphries made his World Series debut as the 16-year-old’s exploits in the capital were rewarded by defeating Littler in a record-breaking World Championship final at Alexandra Palace last week.
The pair will compete alongside reigning champion Smith, who defeated Gerwyn Price to win the inaugural Bahrain Darts Masters 12 months ago.
Wales’ reigning World Cup winner Price will also return in 2024, while three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen will make his long-awaited Bahrain debut.
Two-time world champion Peter Wright is also included in the star-studded line-up, along with world match play winner Nathan Aspinall and 2018 world champion Rob Cross.
The eight-man Asian squad is led by Filipino World Cup star Lawrence Ilagan. He topped the 2023 PDC Asia Tour Order of Merit and made his eighth appearance at the World Darts Championship last month.
Ilagan will compete alongside compatriots Paolo Nebrida and Reynaldo Rivera, while Japan’s PDC Asian champion Haruki Muramatsu will return to the World Series for the first time in seven years.
Muramatsu’s compatriot Tomoya Goto will also be in attendance following his impressive debut at the World Darts Championship, as will Hong Kong’s Man Lok Leung, who scored a sensational victory over Jean Van Veen at Alexandra Palace. Masu.
The 16-player field includes Bahraini duo Abdullah Saeed and Hasan Haji, who made it through last month’s Bahrain qualifiers and are confirmed to make their TV debut.
