“Due to weather conditions, this period has been changed to the first half of 2024. However, the work does not end there. Residents of the Sokluk area are aware that construction is progressing at a rapid pace. I think we will be able to present our first products by the end of the first half of this year,” said Daniyal Amangeldiyev.
On January 27, 2023, during a business forum between the two countries, Uzakhtsanoat agreed to organize automobile production in Kyrgyzstan. The corporate partners in the joint venture will be “DT Tekhnik” and “Nur”.
According to media reports, the plant plans to produce 30,000 cars and create 1,000 jobs within six years. The plant will assemble 19 models of Chevrolet, Daewoo, and Isuzu vehicles. Total investment is estimated at $50 million.
Construction of the factory began in mid-May last year. Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Akhilbek Japarov called the project “of strategic importance for both countries.”
