The military announced on Monday that the opening ceremony of the Pakistan-Bahrain “Al Badar VIII” joint exercise was held at the National Counter-Terrorism Center in Pabbi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), detachments of the Pakistan Army and Bahrain National Guard are participating in the two-week exercise.
“The exercise aims to foster joint employment and interoperability, as well as leverage the historic military relationships between the military and brotherly nations,” the military’s media wing added.
According to ISPR, the chief guest at the opening ceremony was the Director of Military Training.

He further said that both countries have shown enthusiasm and eagerness to benefit from each other’s expertise.
Al-Badar is an annual joint bilateral exercise in the field of counter-terrorism between Pakistan and Bahrain.
Earlier this month, Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa awarded the Bahrain Military Medal 1st Class to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir during a two-day official visit to the kingdom.
This honor was given in recognition of Mr. Asim’s efforts and contribution towards strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
