Minister Alem talked about the significance of importing electric vehicles, saying, “Ethiopia produces abundant electricity, and it costs less than fuel.”
“Ethiopia is a country that supports green development and works hard for it. Electric vehicles are preferable to gasoline-powered vehicles to reduce air pollution,” the minister said.
He added that electric vehicles are “widely produced around the world and operate in our cities, so it is possible to provide charging infrastructure.”
