ISLAMABAD, Feb 14 (APP): Domestic car sales increased by 29.57% in January 2024 compared to the same month last year, according to data released by Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA) on Wednesday.
Vehicle sales increased to 7,802 units in January 2024, compared to 6,021 units in the same month last year.
However, car sales in the first seven months (July to January) decreased by 48.66% compared to the same period in 2022-2023.
As per the data, as many as 38,464 cars were sold during the period as against 74,933 cars in the same period last year.
According to the breakdown statistics, sales of Honda Civic and City were 10,526 units from July to January 2022-2023, while 5,145 units were sold from July 2023 to January 2024. Sold.
Sales of Toyota’s Corolla and Yaris also decreased from 13,784 units the previous year to 7,422 units, a 46.15% decrease.
Sales of Suzuki Swift also decreased from 7,640 units last year to 2,782 units, a decrease of 63.58%.
Suzuki Cultus sales fell to 2,181 units in the first seven months of this year. Sales in the same month last year were 5,686 units. Sales of the Suzuki Wagon R also decreased from 4,440 units the previous year to 2,149 units.
Additionally, Suzuki Alto sales recorded a significant decline of 40.74 percent from 27,658 units to 16,388 units this fiscal year. Meanwhile, Suzuki Bolan’s sales decreased to 1,314 units compared to his 2,992 units in the same month last year.
