The University of Washington and Lee University will host a real estate forum in Washington, DC, October 12-13, 2023. The event provides attendees with a combination of learning, discussion and networking opportunities, connecting established industry professionals with emerging real estate professionals.
“We are thrilled to have the Alumni Steering Committee,” said Elizabeth Mygat ’06, chair of the Alumni Association Steering Committee. “This is a great opportunity to bring together some of the brightest minds in the industry to discuss current trends, hear from leaders across asset classes, and network with peers.”
Willie Walker, Chairman and CEO of Walker & Dunlop, will open Friday’s program with a keynote address. Under his leadership, Walker & Dunlop grew from a small family-owned business to one of the largest commercial real estate finance companies in the United States. His honors include the 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Commercial Mortgage Observer and the title of “Financier of the Year” in 2017 and 2020. will appear.
The afternoon keynote address will be given by Spencer Levy, Global Client Strategist and Senior Economic Advisor at CBRE. Levy is part of CBRE’s global client care team. This team is a global group of experts responsible for account management and client experience programs for the company’s largest customers. In addition to his client-facing role, Levy also serves as the company’s principal spokesperson and is considered one of the most insightful commentators on commercial real estate issues. He is the host of his CBRE award-winning podcast, “The Weekly Take,” which is the most downloaded podcast in the commercial real estate space.
Other program highlights include panels that delve into the investment outlook and the nuances of capital markets, complemented by fireside chats aimed at deciphering the intricacies of the real estate cycle.
